Barquisimeto.- Last Saturday, December 12, 1,200 musicians, members of the youth and children’s orchestras of Lara and the SBYOV gathered at the Antonio Herrera Gutiérrez Stadium to rehearse for the concert to be held on the following day under the baton of Gustavo Dudamel.

4:30 p.m. local time. The Antonio Herrera Gutiérrez Stadium, home to Venezuelan Professional Baseball League's Cardenales de Lara, became a music stage. Children from the núcleos of the system of youth and children’s orchestras of Lara rehearsed as the members of the SBYOV watched them captivated by the talent of these very young musicians.

Six hours of rehearsal and a rainy day were not enough to wane the enthusiasm.The young musicians were happy to be conducted by Gustavo Dudamel and share the stage with El Sistema’s top orchestra.
