The SBYOV said goodbye to Spain with two concerts. The last leg of their 2009 USA/Europe tour is Lisbon, where the Orquesta Juvenil Iberoamericana will make its debut next December, under the baton of Gustavo Dudamel.

The Simón Bolívar Youth Orchestra of Venezuela began his Spain tour in Madrid. The SBYOV left the audiences speechless with their amazing performances in two of the four concerts. Members of the Royal family attended one of the concerts.

The musicians were working to a tight schedule for the past three days that included talks, concerts, public rehearsals, and educational events. SBYOV’s residency at the SouthBank Centre left the audiences satisfied and wanting more. Attendance expectations were surpassed. Over 56,000 people attended the concerts and events by the Venezuelan orchestra.
