The Simón Bolívar Symphony Orchestra (SBSOV) finished the 2012 season with a successful US Tour that comprised 14 concerts, 3 symposia and conferences on music education with social purpose, as well as academic and community events.

Dudamel and the Simón Bolívar Symphony Orchestra received enthusiastic reviews from the American media during their 2012 US Tour. Among them, was that by Anthony Tommasini of The New York Times.

As part of their US Tour, Gustavo Dudamel and the Simón Bolívar Symphony Orchestra are participating in the Carnegie Hall’s Voices from Latin America festival. The orchestra’ residency program consists of chamber and symphonic concerts as well as a lecture on El Sistema music education program.
