The Simón Bolívar Youth Orchestra of Venezuela played at the opening concert of the 2010 Granada International Festival of Music and Dance, last June 25. Led by Gustavo Dudamel, the Venezuelan musicians played the last concert of their Europe Tour in La Alhambra.

The Simón Bolívar Youth Orchestra of Vezuela, El Sistema’s top orchestra, wrote a new chapter in its history when, led by Gustavo Dudamel, gave a memorable concert for 5,000 Greeks and their gods at the Athens and Epidaurus Festival last June 23.

Penderecki saw one of his greatest dreams come true today: to see the “Simón Bolívar” Orchestra and Gustavo Dudamel triumph in Poland, his native country. And José Antonio Abreu also announced the creation of the first “Krzysztof Penderecki Choral Symphony Festival” in Caracas.
