The Teresa Carreño Youth Orchestra of Venezuela, the generation of Venezuelan musicians emerged between those of the Simón Bolívar Youth Orchestra of Venezuela and the National Children’s Orchestra of Venezuela, is taking its first steps.

The National System of Youth and Children’s Orchestras and Choirs of Venezuela is putting every effort in educating these young Venezuelan musicians and by doing so it is also sowing the future. Hilti Foundation, via Hilti Venezuela, is joining El Sistema in supporting these 160 musicians who soon will make their international debut.

Hilti Foundation has previously supported El Sistema by donating high quality instruments to El Sistema. Now Hilti Venezuela has decided to sponsor the Teresa Carreño Youth Orchestra of Venezuela’s first tour of Europe.

“Hilti Venezuela supports El Sistema because we see what they do and we want to help in sowing the future of Venezuela. Our purpose is to support the passionate youth of our country and build a better future. Building a better future acquires a deeper meaning now that we are supporting the Teresa Carreño Youth Orchestra. We think they embody the future of Venezuela and the world. We feel very proud to support the Teresa Carreño’s first tour of Europe, and we know that this will be the first of many successes,” said Leonardo Miolli, General Manager at Hilti Venezuela.

“I'm beginning to understand what the Renaissance patrons felt when they gave to great artists the tools of their trade; because I feel El Sistema is maestro Abreu's Sistine Chapel. With just a few brushes we have given to you, you’ve done an extraordinary work, and I want to invite you to keep on shaping lives," added Leonardo Miolli addressing maestro Abreu.

Maestro José Antonio Abreu gave El Sistema’s educators all the credit by explaining the following:

“Hilti has been one of the first to support this cause and has changed the life of the orchestras. They appeared when many of our orchestras' instruments couldn’t wait to be replaced. It was imperative for the orchestras to receive the tools for the structural transformation of their education. We are all very happy: the educators, the students, and the parents who have been able to see their children learn with a high quality instrument. In behalf of this community we want to express our gratitude," maestro Abreu said.

The Vice Presidency of the Bolivarian Republic of Venezuela provides El Sistema with the instruments required by its students, and now Hilti joins it in this effort.
