The Center for Social Action Through Music is an eleven-story building - designed by the Venezuelan architect Tomás Lugo - with music instruction areas, instrumental and choral rehearsal rooms, libraries, concert and theater halls, chamber music halls, an outdoor acoustic shell, recording rooms, music instruments workshops, changing rooms, cafés, and administrative offices.

The Simón Bolívar Conservatory of Music (SBCM) was founded in 1975, and operates under a different concept than the Venezuelan traditional conservatories: the collective practice of music is an essential part of its teaching program.
Created for the purpose of advancing the academic education of El Sistema's members, over 150,000 youngsters have studied at this conservatory and have obtained a diploma in music performance, recognized by the Venezuelan Ministry of Education.

The Montalbán Children’s Academic Center is one of the most original and of greatest impact educational platform created by the FESNOJIV. For over a decade, this center - located in the Montalbán neighborhood of Caracas - has been developing music education programs and systems for children. It started with 120 children and now it serves over 1,000 students. Its 70 professors teach specialized courses to children from when they are babies. |
