Last Saturday, February 2, over a dozen of youth and children's ensembles from nine Venezuelan states took part in the First Regional Cycle of Simultaneous Concerts which marked the 38th anniversary of the National System of Youth and Children Orchestras and Choirs of Venezuela.

The concerts at the Carnegie Hall on December 10 and 12, earned the Simón Bolívar Symphony Orchestra of Venezuela and his conductor, Gustavo Dudamel, praises from the audiences. But besides wining rapturous ovations, the Venezuelan musicians confirmed their Latin American essence and brought composer Antonio Estévez a well-deserved international fame.

The trio, made up of members of the Vienna Philharmonic and the Berlin Philharmonic Orchestra, will perform with one of El Sistema's top orchestras in Caracas, at the Center for Social Action through Music.

The Venezuelan composer and cellist will perform as soloist with the El Sistema's flagship orchestra in the premiere of his Symphony Op. 68. The concert will be held at the Center for Social action through Music. Entrance is free.
