The sixth edition of the Los Llanos International Percussion Festival showcases more than a dozen Venezuelan ensembles as well as five world-renowned international guests.

Alejandro Fela, Daniel García, and Oswin Carruido were the winners the Bassoon Competition held in Caracas at the 2011 International Bassoon Festival, an event presented by the National System of Youth and Children’s Orchestras of Venezuela.

Eight soloists and over 400 musicians of three El Sistema’s orchestras will participate in this festival that will take place in Caracas at the Center for Social Action Through Music from September 28 to October 9.

The concert was held to benefit the Francesca Rava Foundation, which is raising funds for the children of Haiti.
