Center for Social Action through MusicThe Center for Social Action through Music was created by the Simón Bolívar Music Foundation and financed by the National Housing Institute of Venezuela and the Inter-American Development Bank for the purpose of developing music academic programs and training courses for orchestral conductors, performers and music professionals; promoting our music, orchestras and virtuous musicians internationally; fostering academic, musical and artistic exchanges with other countries; carrying out education, rescue and rehabilitation programs for children and youngsters, especially those who are at-risk or have special needs or disabilities; and promoting artistic integration so children learn how to interact within an artistic environment through dance, theater, opera, etc.

The building - whose wall surfaces, floors and ceilings are soundproofed - is divided into two main zones: The northern zone - where the academic activities are developed - and the southern one, which consists of the Simón Bolívar Hall with a seating capacity of 1,100; the Concert Hall No. 2 with a seating capacity of 400; and the rehearsal rooms.

The Simón Bolívar Hall houses a pipe symphony organ which was especially designed and built by Orgelbau Klais for the Youth and Children’s Orchestras of Venezuela. It has 36 feet high and 42 feet wide and was donated by Fundación Polar.
