Under the baton of Gustavo Dudamel, 1,400 musicians from the Simón Bolívar Symphony Orchestra of Venezuela, 16 choirs from the National System of youth and Children’s Orchestras and Choirs of Venezuela, the Schola Cantorum of Venezuela, and the Los Angeles Philharmonic will join forces to perform Gustav Mahler’ completed symphonies (and more). The hopeful message of Mahler’s work comes to Venezuela as a cycle entitled With Dudamel for Peace that features renowned soloists such as Anna Larsson, Klara Ek, Alexander Vinogradof, Brian Mulligan, Buckhard Fritz, Charlotte Hellekant, Julianna di Giacomo, Kiera Duffy and Manuela Uhl.

With Dudamel for peace opens El Sistema’s program of activities for 2012. This year program will be carried out in alliance with the United Nations and all the concerts aim at promoting the culture of peace.
